Minutemen Founder Is Calling For Resignation Of Mayor Gavin Newsom. Should Newsom Resign?
An illegal alien has been charged with three counts of murder for the June 22 shootings of 48-year-old Tony Bologna and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16. This illegal alien was arrested as a 17-year-old for an assault and an attempted robbery, but city officials did not turn him over to federal immigration authorities. He benefited from San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy.

Since Newsom’s endorsement of the policy allowed this criminal to be in the US, causing these deaths, should he resign?
Non-San Franciscans can’t really call for this idiot’s resignation how ever I hope it loudly brings to light the problem of these sanctuary cities and the illegal aliens. I’m glad the pro-illegals made that comment. It makes them look really bad.
This afternoon I heard an interview with Jim Gilchrist where he indicated that he had reports that this illegal used an AK47 on this family (with 30 bullet magazine)! Gilchrist also indicated that they only had about 140 pro-illegals at the protest. A couple of years ago they would have had over 2,000 at a protest – pro-illegal advocates are less.
I hope San Fransisco does the right thing and gets rid of this incompetent fool. California should never elect this twit!
I know that the city leaders in San Francisco thought they were doing the “enlightened” thing by creating this “sanctuary” policy and not cooperating with Federal officials. However, I highly doubt that they realized that the criminal elements would also use that sanctuary.
I won’t say that Newsom should resign, but the citizens of San Francisco might with to consider a recall referendum.
The city might also want to reconsider its position in light of these events.
I recently talked with a person who lives in SF and they said he’s getting some flack from residents but he still has good feeling from people because of the gay marriage issue (don’t understand why since it made SF look stupid).
However, I think he’s indirectly responsible for these 3 deaths. He should resign immediately or hopefully be forced out. Any chance he had to be elected governor is hopefully destroyed.
Three people are Dead and he is responsible. He might as well pulled the trigger because the Gun Ban caused law abiding citizens to be butchered and helpless to defend themselves but it’s ok Gay marriage is more improtant to Gavin than the lives of the ordinary legal constituents.
He should be sued by the remaining family members in a wrongful death action. Defendants in civil suits sometimes get religion on the way to a trial.
He should be charged and jailed as an accessory to the
murders!

Several things are going to have to happen all at the same time. The federal government is going to have give our border and immigration policy as much time and interest as its given Iraq and Afghanistan. The City of San Francisco is going to have to rethink its illegal immigrant policy and the Minutemen need to stop demanding that people they don’t like resign. If they want to contact elected federal, state or local officials they have a right to do that. Let them make their case logically and thoughtfully. If they want to stroll around along the border ‘helping out’ let then do that as well. But creating confrontation only leads to more confrontation and more resistance. There are a hundred legitimate reasons for closing our borders to illegal aliens and a hundred more for deporting as many illegal aliens as possible within the bounds of decency. There’s NO legitimate reason to make this a ’street issue’…..that’s what we have courts and election for. The Minutemen are wrong using this tactic and it takes away from an enforcable strategic plan for dealing with this problem. No kiddin’!
Well thats up to the people of San Francisco, not you or I. I don’t live there so their laws are of little meaning to me…..as for Newsom “causing these deaths” no, sorry. Not even close.

No. Bush should resign for his open-border policy. Californians, including conservatives have been screaming for years that the federal govt. is failing to keep the illegals out, but the fed. demands that states spend money to offer free education, medical, and anything else to illegals, but the fed refuses to pay for it. San Francisco isn’t going to plug up its jails and burn resources on the immigration problem. Anti-Newsom FEDERAL AGENTS are bashing Newsom, just as they bashed California’s former REPUBLICAN governors for complaining about the fed failure to pay the costs.
Do I like Newsom? No. But should Newsom compound the problem by being bullied by right-wing vigilantes? Definitely not.
